Program Description

Imagine Math by Imagine Learning is a digital supplemental mathematics learning solution designed to support Pre-Kindergarten through Geometry students of all backgrounds. The program provides adaptive and developmentally appropriate instruction that focuses on building students’ conceptual understanding of mathematics. To supplement and enhance digital lessons, scaffolded, rigorous instruction by live, certified teachers is available on-demand to ensure that every student receives timely assistance as needed.

Program Outcomes

The impact of Imagine Math was explored in a retrospective study that took place with K–8 students from schools across a charter network in Florida and North Carolina. The treatment group was comprised of all K–8 students from 16 schools who logged any usage in the Imagine Math program during the 2020–2021 school year. These 9,015 students were matched with non-users from within the same charter network. Imagine Math students scored significantly higher on the NWEA MAP Growth Math assessment (effect size = +0.08), qualifying it for a “Promising” rating.

Staffing Requirements

No additional staffing is required. The program is typically implemented by students’ mathematics teachers, mathematics specialists, or lab instructors; these educators are responsible for monitoring student engagement with individualized learning paths and tracking reports within the Imagine Math program that provide data on student progress and growth.

Professional Development/Training

In addition to support from the Customer Success team, Imagine Learning offers various optional virtual or on-site professional development and training opportunities for administrators and educators. Sessions for administrators focus on how to lead with success, tailoring conversations to fit each school’s implementation model and goals. Sessions for educators include workshops on getting started with Imagine Math, making use of Imagine Math’s various reports and other features, and how to provide targeted support for individual students.

Technology

The program requires networked computers or tablets, headsets, and access to the Imagine Math instructional content.  System requirements can be found at: https://help.imaginelearning.com/hc/en-us/articles/360059657973-Imagine-Math-System-Requirements.
