Program Description
Exact Path Proficiency + Exact Path Growth are digital learning systems designed to support students through a combination of personalized instruction and standards-aligned formative assessment. The program integrates Exact Path Proficiency, which delivers grade-level, standards-aligned practice assessments and test-readiness activities, with Exact Path Growth, which provides adaptive, skill-based instruction informed by diagnostic data. Together, the components are intended to address skill gaps while maintaining progress toward grade-level expectations.
Program Outcomes
A quasi-experimental study of middle school students in a large Florida district found that students who used Exact Path Proficiency combined with Exact Path Growth demonstrated statistically significant improvements in Mathematics achievement on the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) compared to students who did not use either product. After matching students on prior achievement and demographics and accounting for school-level clustering, the bundled intervention was associated with a positive effect size of +0.11 on Spring 2025 FAST Mathematics scores. In this same study, statistically significant positive effects were also found in English Language Arts across Grades 6–8. In an exploratory analysis, students using the combined program outperformed peers who used Exact Path Growth alone, suggesting that the addition of Proficiency contributed gains beyond Growth. Overall, the findings qualify Exact Path Growth + Exact Path Proficiency for a Moderate evidence rating.

Exact Path is implemented by a district’s current teachers, school leaders, and district leaders with guidance provided by Edmentum’s dedicated Customer Success Managers. No additional staffing is required.
